Benjamin Humphrey's piece (published today on OMG! Ubuntu!) on Personal Package Archives is one such article. In the piece, Humphrey discusses the development and purpose of the PPA and its potential as an attack vector for malicious software.
It's a brilliant and concise treatise on the whole concept of software stability and system security in Linux and it's well worth a few minutes of anyone's time.
That said, I'll try to keep such posts to a minimum!
